Welcome to Istighfar. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. Please read them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

1. What Istighfar is

Istighfar is a free app for counting istighfar and dhikr, setting personal goals, and keeping each other accountable with friends (“your Circle”). It’s offered as a sadaqah jariah by Epic Labs (“we”, “us”). Contact us on Instagram at @istighfar.app.

2. Your account

• Provide accurate information and keep your login secure.
• You’re responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country) to use Istighfar.
• One person per account; don’t impersonate others.

3. Acceptable use

Please use Istighfar respectfully. You agree not to:

• Harass, abuse, or send unwanted nudges/messages (nudges are limited per day).
• Upload or share content that is unlawful, hateful, harmful, or violates others’ rights.
• Use false identities, scrape data, or attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the app.
• Use the app for anything other than its intended, lawful purpose.

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms or harm other users.

4. Your content and connections

• Your progress is shared only with friends you connect with. You choose who joins your Circle and can decline or remove connections.
• You’re responsible for the username and profile details you provide.
• You retain ownership of content you create; you grant us a limited license to store and display it as needed to operate the app.

5. The service is free (and may accept donations)

Istighfar is free to use. We may, in the future, accept optional donations to help cover running costs. Donations are voluntary and don’t unlock features. Everyone gets the full app for free, Insha'Allah.

6. Availability and changes

• We work to keep the app running but don’t guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that data syncs perfectly at all times.
• We may add, change, or remove features, and may update these Terms. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

7. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Istighfar is a tool to support your worship; it is not a substitute for religious guidance, and we don’t guarantee any specific outcome.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Epic Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Termination

You may stop using Istighfar and request account deletion at any time by messaging us on Instagram at @istighfar.app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
